Abstract
This thesis is the result of the observation to answer the questions of: How is implementation of vocabulary grouping technique to enrich students7 vocabulary mastery at seventh grade of SMP BINA BANGSA SURABAYA and how the response of students m using vocabulary grouping technique. In this study, the descriptive design is used to obtain the data concerning the research problems. This study focuses on the seventh grade students and the students as subject. There are four instruments used in taking data: documentation, questionnaire, interview, and observation. Furthermore, the researcher set up the observational notes, documentation used to interview with the students, and lessons plan. The research findings showed that the implementation of using vocabulary grouping techniques it is relevant to procedure of technique teaching English vocabulary. Most of the students of seventh grade students give positive responses; they were very enthusiastic and were motivated by this technique used by the researcher. Although, some of students felt bored and inspirit.
