Pesan dakwah tentang nilai kemandirian dalam podcast ustadz Felix Siauw: studi kasus Ngobrolin goblok secara komprehensif

This study aims to identify and describe the content of da’wah messages related to the value of independence in Ustadz Felix Siauw’s podcast titled “Ngobrolin Goblok Secara Komprehensif” (“Discussing Foolishness Comprehensively”). The research employs a descriptive qualitative method using observation, podcast transcription, and documentation techniques, and is analyzed through Roland Barthes’ semiotics to uncover the denotative, connotative, and mythic meanings within the da’wah messages. The findings indicate that Ustadz Felix Siauw emphasizes the importance of personal responsibility, critical thinking skills, the courage to make independent decisions, and accountability for one’s life choices. These messages are conveyed through his critique of the phenomenon of self-victimization for public sympathy, which he considers contrary to the principle of independence. These values align with developmental theories of independence and are relevant to the social challenges faced by younger generations. Overall, the podcast reinforces the formation of an independent character in accordance with Islamic values while encouraging the audience not to rely on public validation.
