Abstract
Caregivers of schizophrenia patients often feel stressed, that can have impact to their psychological well-being. This study aims to analyze the role of stress and social support on caregivers' psychological well-being (PWB), considering factors such as gender, age, occupation, relationship with the patient, duration of caregiving, and frequency of patient hospitalization. A quantitative correlational approach was used with moderated regression analysis to test the relationship between variables. The results showed that the majority of caregivers with low psychological well-being were female, aged 20-30 years, and worked as private employees. Closer family relationships with patients, short duration of caregiving, and high frequency of patient hospitalization also contributed to the low psychological well-being of caregivers. In addition, social support has a weakening moderating effect, where at a certain level of stress, social support is no longer effective enough to protect caregivers from negative impacts on their psychological well-being.
