PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT MARJINAL MELALUI KONSELING RELIGIUS DAN PELATIHAN LIFE SKILL BIDANG TATA RIAS : STUDI KASUS EKS PSK DI LOKALISASI SEMBIR KELURAHAN BUGEL KECAMATAN SIDOREJO KOTA SALATIGA TAHUN 2015

The negative stigma often pinned to commercial sex workers (PSK). The label "ragtag", "prostitute", and various other labels ascribed to former commercial sex workers (PSK). Label was awarded as a form of public hatred for the work they have done. The label eventually forms the self- concept of former commercial sex workers (eks PSK). The self-concept has become a limiting factor for them to self-actualization. The main issues of this community research is how to empower marginalized communities (eks PSK) through religious counseling and life skills training in the former localization of Sembir, Salatiga. The purpose of this research is to sensitize the former commercial sex workers of Sembir and provide the life skills in order to be able to develop their potential well. The methodology used in this research is a community based on equity research (CBR). The strategy used in this research is assisting former commercial sex workers (PSK) through religious counseling (individual and group counseling). Life skill training implemented together with religious counseling. This research involves community stakeholders namely Social Services, Vocational Training Center (BLK), the Department of Health Salatiga, the Foster father (Bapak asuh) and NGOs Tegar (LSM Tegar). The results of community empowerment are former commercial sex workers (PSK) of Sembir Salatiga improved their self-concept. The improvement of self-concept can be explained through the indicators: (1) their desire to live a normal life as citizens, (2) working at the factory or self-employment, (3) courses of cosmetology, and (4) a statement of seeking employment outside of Sembir Salatiga.
