The relevance of grammar materials in the English with Ronnie towards English for nusantara for junior high school students

Grammatical materials are educational resources like lessons, exercises, and content designed to teach the rules, structures, and principles of a language based on a curriculum. YouTube offers a valuable platform for language learning, particularly grammar. "English for Nusantara" serves as the official English textbook for Indonesian junior high schools, published by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education Indonesia. This study investigates the relevance of the grammar materials presented in the "English with Ronnie" YouTube channel compared to those in the "English for Nusantara" textbook. Qualitative content analysis is the method employed for this study. The instrument used is an analysis guideline specifically focused on the grammatical content within six selected videos from Ronnie's YouTube channel. This research aims to determine the alignment between the grammatical material presented in "English for Nusantara" and Ronnie's YouTube channel. The findings will assess the potential of using Ronnie's videos as a complementary tool for grammar learning within the context of the "English for Nusantara" curriculum. It's important to consider the cultural appropriateness of the examples used in English with Ronnie's videos, as some content might not align with Indonesian cultural norms.
