Exclusion and inclusion of social actors in the interview with Glenn Kirschen

The purpose of this research is to find out the exclusion and inclusion of social actors as conveyed in an interview with Glenn Kirschen. This research has two formulations (1) What type of exclusion was conveyed by Donald Trump in the interview with Glenn Kirschen (2) What type of inclusion was conveyed by Donald Trump in the interview with Glenn Kirschen? In analyzing data, researchers used qualitative descriptive methods. To collect data, researchers downloaded the video transcription of Glenn Krischen's interview on Brian Tyler Cohen's YouTube page and matched it with the dialogue, then classified it using critical discourse analysis theory. The video transcripts were then analyzed to identify types of exclusion. The analysis continues by identifying inclusion types. The research results revealed that there were exclusions and inclusions from Glenn Kirschen's interview regarding Donald Trump. Researchers found that there were 26 data findings from this research. Of the total 26 data, there are 4 exclusion data, namely 3 data related to subsentence replacement exclusions and 1 passivation exclusion data. Furthermore, 22 data inclusions consist of 12 differentiation – indifferentiation inclusion data, 7 objectification – abstraction data, 1 data nomination – categorization, 1 data nomination – identification, and finally 1 data association-dissociation.
