Perubahan sosial pasca keberadaan PT. Cheil Jedang di Desa Ploso Kecamatan Ploso Kabupaten Jombang

Industry is an important part of the development process as well as improving the growth of people's economic lives. Industry and society influence each other and cooperate in the implementation process. These efforts affect changes in people's lives. This research aims to understand the social changes that occurred after the existence of the PT Cheil Jedang industry. This type of research is qualitative using a phenomenological approach. The research subject was determined by purposive sampling, namely the people of Ploso Village. The data collected are qualitative data and quantitative data sourced from primary data and secondary data. The data collection technique used observation, interviews, documentation and analyzed through the stages of reduction, display and drawing conclusions. To check the validity of the data using source type triangulation. The results of this study show that the process of social change began with the existence of the PT Cheil Jedang industry in Ploso District. Since then there have been changes in various social, economic, cultural, technological, educational and environmental fields. So that there is a change in the agrarian society into an industrial society.
