MEMERIKSA KEMBALI KONSUMSI UMAT SEBUAH REKONSTRUKSI INTERDISIPLINER TERHADAP GAYA HIDUP NABI

An effort to realize the ethics of religious principles on consumption in daily lives is implicitly versed in the Islamic teachings. By referring to a biography of prophet, we have been doing an important step to find a strong refe–rence. However, a new era presupposes the life style that has not been practiced at the time of prophet. That is why we must reinterpret the prophet model to inculcate pro–phetic values into our live in this era. By utilizing an interdisciplinary study, we can scrutinize the practice of current consumption, so that the idea of using the huma–nities as a tool to understand religious issue, as modern Muslim scholars put it, is possible and relevant. In short, it is necessary to use the traditional views and secular disciplines for further understanding of the values of Islam
