Environmental issue in the word for world is forest by Ursula K. Le Guin

This study has a purpose to analyze the environmental issue which happen in an alien planet called Athshe. This study then shows how human cruelty towards the nature and its inhabitants. The research question of this study are three, there are; (1)How is nature depicted in the novel? (2) How does human interaction with the nature in the novel (3) How does Islamic view on the human attitude towards nature? A qualitative method was opted to be used in this research. This study used ecotheology as the tools for analysis. Another theory used is the new criticism as it uses the novel as its main source of the data. Ecotheology is a theory that scarcely used in a thesis. Its existence came from the temporary thought about how the nature has been experiencing a downgrade condition across the centuries.The study found that the novel contains many human attitude towards nature, there are human who preserve and heal the nature and also there are human who have bad deeds towards the nature according to the islamic perspective. Islam brings solutions on how to act towards the nature and how to not because all of our actions will have its consequences in the hereafter.
