Abstract
Drug abuse in adolescents does not only damage the users themselves, in fact it is not easy for someone who has become a drug user to stop drug addiction, forcing users to pay a lot of money to fulfill the satisfaction of these deviations. The family becomes one of the victims affected by drugs, this is because parents who have had children with a history of drug use experience a lot of material, physical and mental losses. Children who use drugs can cause chaos and bad relationships with parents, this is caused because drugs are one of the deviations. To improve the relationship between the children of former drug users and their parents, forgiveness must be done, in a sense. Parents are able to forgive children who have a history of drug use and provide opportunities for their children to improve their attitudes for good in the future. In this case the researcher conducted research on the forgiveness process of parents of children of former drug users in Trosobo Taman, through interviews with parents and those closest to them to find out about the process of forgiving parents who have children with a history of drug use. Forgiveness that occurs in a relationship has supporting factors and inhibiting factors. The process of forgiveness takes time, depending on how severe the level of hurt that results from the guilt of the guilty people.
