Representasi pesan akidah lirik lagu “Sebelum Cahaya” Karya Band Letto

Song is one of the propaganda media that is quite popular in Indonesia. As a romantic lyrics, not many people know that Letto band's works contain songs based on Sufism which are more directed to a servant's anxiety towards his Lord. The researcher tries to dig deeper, how the lyrics of Letto's song entitled "Before Cahaya" can be represented into messages of faith in the perspective of da'wah science. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. Existing data will then be analyzed using the semiotic analysis of Charles Sanders Pierce. Semiotics is the right analysis to interpret song lyrics because it can be reviewed by looking at the signs of meaning contained in it. The results of this study found that the lyrics of the song contain the message of aqidah or the belief of a servant who must hold fast to Allah SWT when experiencing trials or being lonely. This belief must go hand in hand with patience and prayer. The recommendation from this study is that further researchers can examine the lyrics of the song "Before Cahaya" with other research methods or examine Letto's other works as the object of his study.
