Implementasi teori Koherensi dalam surat al-Baqarah: studi penafsiran Muhammad Abdullah Darraz dalam kitab al-Naba’ al-‘Azim

Muhammad Abdullah Darraz is one of the muslim scholars who pay attention to the theory of coherence in the Qur’an. He proved it by written the book al-Naba’ al-‘Azim. In his book, he implement the theory of coherence in the letter al-Baqarah. Some muslim scholars give appreciation to this book, one of them is Muhammad al-Ghazali, he said that Muhammad Abdullah Darraz can make the letter al-Baqarah very coherent and inter-related such as a knot. Therefore, this thesis focus on two questions: 1, how the rule of munasabah in Muhammad Abdullah Darraz’s opinion. 2, how Muhammad Abdullah Darraz implement the theory of coherence in the letter al-Baqarah. This thesis is descriptive, analytical, and critical. So, author will describe the rules of ilmu munasabah and Muhammad Abdullah Darraz implementation, and will be analyzed and criticized by author. In the end, the rule of munasabah in Muhammad Abdullah Darraz’s opinion is that every letter in al-Qur’an has a systematization as; Muqaddimah, Central Theme, and Khatimah. And than, implementation of munasabah who implemented by Muhammad Abdullah Darraz to al-Baqarah result a systematization as follows: 1. Muqaddimah (1-20) about the Qur’an as guidance. 2. Central theme (21-284) about Iman, Islam, and Ihsan. 3. Khatimah (285-286) about the followers of al-Qur’an and their expectations in the world and the hereafter. The followers of the al-Qur’an are Prophet Muhammad and muslim peoples.
