SEJARAH GERBANG SALAM DI KABUPATEN PAMEKASAN MADURA

This thesis entitled "Sejarah Gerbang Salam di Kabupaten Pamekasan Madura)". The issues that the researcher in this study are: (1) How is the history of the formation of Gerbang Salam in Pamekasan? (2) How are responses to the formation of the Gerbang Salam Pamekasan? In answering these questions, the writer researcher of the people of problem has used the qualitative methods and the theory in this study using symbolic interaction theory belongs to George Herbert Mead. Which individuals interpret the symbols that appear in the environment formatted in the form of rules, do the people interact understand and so on. The results of this study concluded that the Gerbang Salam is a policy of government and community leaders of Pamekasan to minimize social disease (promiscuity, drug abuse, and gambling) that the volume has been increasing. Application of Gerbang Salam in Pamekasan respondet by the whole society, which has the same view that every religion has a same purpose that is creating the benefit of the people and doing a good action at all times. Gerbang Salam began with an assumption that society assume that Pamekasan lost their identity. In addition, immoral behaviour like practice of gambling, prostitution, promiscuity and reckless become a thing, so that it invites a sense of concern from community leaders saint, scholars, clerics and elements of society to urge the Regent to take action, finally initiative of moslem scholars and clerics and make local constitution, called the "Gerbang Salam". Pamekasan people moslem so that they strongly support the establishment of the Gerbang Salam, but for their non-Muslim society can tolerate toward despite of Islam, because they regard that the thay regulation has just efforts to govern the soo not in religious discrimination.
