Language Style Used by Vladimir, Estragon, and Pozzo in "Waiting for Godot" a Drama by Sammuel Becket

This thesis discusses about Language Style used by Pozzo, Vladimir, and Estragon In Waiting for Godot a Drama by Sammuel Backett. In this thesis, the writer proposes two research questions as follows: What are the features of the language style used by Vladimir, Estragon, and Pozzo in drama “Waiting for Godot”? and what are the contexts of the language style used by the Vladimir, Estragon, and Pozzo in drama “Waiting for Godot”?
The writer uses a qualitative approach because the data collected are in the form of words. She applies both descriptive method and content analysis as well to obtain descriptive information. The procedures of data collection are: The writer started to write the scripts that consist of types of language styles. The next step is the writer decided the context of language styles. The last the writer analyzed language styles and the context of the drama.The writer also read the whole drama “Waiting for Godot” to understand the whole story.
Having analyzed the data, the writer finds that the style that used by Vladimir, Estragon, and Pozzo are some kinds of language style such as casual, intimate, consultative, formal, and frozen. But, not all of the styles are used by them. The writer underlines the language style that used by Vladimir, Estragon, and Pozzo are Casual and Consultative style.
