Sejarah Giri-Gresik pra dan pasca kedatangan Sunan Giri

The thesis entitled "Sejarah Giri-Gresik Pre and SunanGiri Arrival" examines several issues, namely: (1) How is the condition of Giri-Gresik Pre arrival SunanGiri? ; (2) What is the condition of Giri-Gresik on arrival of SunanGiri? ; (3) How to Change Pre and Post Giri Gresik after SunanGiri's arrival? The problems will be the author carefully by using the Historical approach. The historical approach aims to know and describe the origin of the development and growth of a religion. As for theory used is in accordance with that expressed by Max Weber is leadership. While the method used is the method of history is through the stages of Heuristics, source criticism, Interpretation, and Historiografi. From the research conducted, it can be concluded that: First, before the arrival of Giri Siri region Giri-Gresik is the region of Maharaja MajapahitSīma, whose economy depends on crops in the depths, and trust the king of gods or goddess often dunked, and embraces the god Trimukti. Secondly, at the time of the arrival of SunanGiri, Giri-Gresik was the area that had become the land given by the king of Majapahit as a tribute to SunanGiri as Mufti was replaced by SunanAmpel, whose government as Ulama government, whose economy depended on international trade and marine products, the religion of Islam that believes in God is one. Third, the changes that took place in Giri-Gresik were, among others, the transformation of the previously political system of transformation into a spiritual, previously rural-centered economy or crop turned into international trade and marine products, then a change of belief from Hindu Buddhism to Islam and changed from Trimukti to God Almighty.
