American Southern Dialect Of The Main Character In Race To Witch Mountain

This Research focuses on analyzing one of American English (AE) Dialect, which is used by Jack Bruno in a movie “Race to Witch Mountain”. Moreover, the two statements of problems in this research. First, the researcher intends to describe the pattern of American Southern dialect used by Jack Bruno, so that the researcher can classify it easily. Second, the researcher analyzes it more deeply to know the effect of using American Southern Dialect in Race to Witch Mountain’s movie.In this research, the researcher uses descriptive qualitative method, so that the main instrument of this research is the researcher herself. Moreover, the data source derived from Jack Bruno’s movie “Race to Witch Mountain”. Further, the steps of collecting the data are don’t loading the transcript, watching the movie, focusing on main character (jack Bruno), sorting all dialect, making a table put all the data. Then, the researcher analysis the data throw classifying it and putting it into table and the last is making conclusion.The finding of this research is the researcher found some American southern dialect, which is use by jack Bruno. However, tended to use his dialect with aliens because of solidarity.However, the researcher suggests for further researcher, related to research of American southern dialect, to analyze deeper, because this research more or less need to refine.
