Abstract

This research aims at (1) producing a Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT) software Islamic religion education subject for the year 7 students of public/Islamic junior high school; and (2) to see the results of CAT software testing of Islamic religious education subjects in making rekam medik pembelajaran (RMP) to diagnose student's ability. This research used the research and development approach (R&D) and consists of two parts: (1) the development of the CAT PAI software for the year 7 students of public junior high school; and (2) do testing to 20 students the year 7 students of SMP N 1 city Salatiga as sample, The data was collected by doing observation, documentation, and inquiry, Quantitative data that were collected from expert evaluation result, individual, little group, and big group in test activity were analyzed by using the concept of reliability among the graders/respondents, namely the generalizability coefficient using the Genova 3,1. Results data rekam medik pembelajaran (RMP) Islamic religious education is analyzed to use quantitative descriptive technique. The findings of the research shows that: (1) the CAT can be developed based on users’ need, which is web-based, user-friendly, interactive, highly secured, and easily accessible; (2) the CAT can recognize three different users: school administrators, teachers, and students; (3) The quantitative data that were collected from expert evaluation result, individual, little group, and big group has consistency enough tall that p is: 0,76 ; and (4) The CAT is able to in estimating student's ability accurately and correct be seen rekam medik pembelajaran (RMP). Overall, the CAT software that uses the triangle decision tree method can perform the tasks well in order to select test items and to measure student's ability from correlation value (r) between abilityestimation result (θ) in CAT with nilai ulangan murni (NUM) Islamic religious education subjects at students school enough tall that is r = 0,69.
